CMC :)

Assalamualaikum and hello everyone. I hoped you are swell and thank you for taking your time to read my humble blog. Today I going to write about the topic call CMC or also known as Computer Mediated Communication. Fyi, everyone uses CMC in through out their daily activity. CMC  helped us to communicate with people from around the world.

Here are some example of CMC :

 CMC also helped in learning and teaching. It already started around the late 1980s and early  1990s. It started from the usage of emails and forum . Forum is a place or medium where ideas and views on particular issues can be exchanged (Google, 2017) . Through emails and forum, long distance learning have been introduced with the help of internet chat rooms and e tutoring in the web.

There are two types of computer mediated communication, which are asynchronous cmc and synchronous cmc. Asynchronous cmc are not synchronized and message sent are not exchanged or received immediately. Emails,  internet forums and blogs are example of asynchronous cmc. This type of cmc is still widely used but they are usually being used in formal types of area.

Next is synchronous cmc, which is communication with everyone is synchronized and message are exchange and received immediately. Nowadays the advanced of technology are being upgraded day by day and the synchronous cmc is the best example of the technology. It is where instant message, video/audio messanger are the example of it. It helps people direct exchange and received their message from their fingertips.

For your additional knowledge, cmc has implemented long distance learning in the early 2000s. CMC has introduced collaborative learning. Collaborative learning is computer supported collaborative learning where everyone could do their task or assignment together even thought they are very far away from each other. It helps to enhance people interaction with peers and group work or assignments. It helps people to communicate will and it assist in long distance learning. The example of computer supported collaborative learning is such as Google Drive.

Google Drive helps you share your documents with your friend and it assist your to do your job with you friend even though you are far away from each other. Forget emails and instant message, google drive actually helps to instantly save your progress after you complete you job and sent it back to your friend. I have used google drive to do my assignment with my friends and it works very well when everyone in my group could not sit together for a discussion.
