Educational Video - 5 layers of the atmosphere
Last two weeks, my friends and I were assigned to create an educational video from second biggest assignments. This video is about education and we were assigned to choose any topic as long as it was educational. The video need to be created using Powtoons and Madam have continued teaching us about the basic video editing and creating using Powtoon in the last class.M y friends and I brainstorm and decided to create video about 5 layers of the atmospheres.
Firstly, we assigned each job to each other so we could the video done easier and quicker. The first thing we all did was finding information about the layers of the atmosphere. Alhamdulilah, our group are very lucky since one of our group member, Hanis Farhana has advanced knowledge about geography and the layers of the atmosphere. She has taught Najwa and I about the facts of the atmosphere. Next, we proceed in searching for picture and things to be place on the slides. We have continued creating a few slides. Last Friday, we have also recorded our voice and we decided to added voice over after we completed the slides.
This week, we have consulted the slides with Madam and Madam have suggested us to add the sound first rather than create the slides because if we continue creating the slides then adding the audio it will be much complicated to be added. Unfortunately, we faced trouble when we finished editing the voice over. Our voice over format was in m4a and we have changed it into mp3 and we wanted to upload into PowToon, problem started to arise. Powtoon have asked us to change the Hz of the mp3 by using Audacity. To solve the problem, we have to download Audacity and change the Hz to 44100.
Things started to get complicated as when we finished downloading Audacity and inserted the audio into Audacity, it wanted to change the format into wav before we turn down the Hz. So the solution is, we have to change the voice over from mp3 into wav and change the Hz and we export the audio and change again to mp3. How complicated is that !! Alhamdulilah, we overcome the problem with ease.
Furthermore, we proceed adding the voice over and background sound and we also finished creating the slides and re check the video a few times so that everything was aligned. Today in class, we consulted the video with Madam and Madam have us to cut out the transition so that the video run smoothly. After cutting out the transition and making a few adjustment here and there, we exported the video and we upload it into YouTube and finally uploading into the class blog. Alhamdulilah we have completed the educational video assignment with ease.
Lastly, I would like to thank my group members, Najwa and Hanis for all the hard work and determination we put to create the video. I would like to apologized if I have make mistakes through out the making of the video.
